Operation Liberty 43 is a movement dedicated to ending homelessness and restoring dignity to displaced individuals and families in Detroit and beyond. We believe every person deserves a safe home, access to basic necessities, and the chance to rebuild their life.
Through transitional housing, community support, and advocacy, we provide immediate relief and long-term solutions. Graduates of our program gain the opportunity to become homeowners through properties purchased from Michigan Land Bank lists. By acquiring abandoned properties and helping participants buy and restore them, we not only create affordable housing—but also transform abandoned neighborhoods into thriving, vibrant communities.

Breaking the Cycle, Building the Future
Operation Liberty 43 works because we don’t just provide temporary relief—we create lasting solutions. By combining immediate housing with long-term pathways to homeownership and community renewal, we break the cycle of homelessness and poverty at its root. Our model restores dignity, builds stability, and transforms entire neighborhoods into places of hope and opportunity.
Affordable Housing Solutions
Our Affordable Housing Plan is designed to give participants not just a roof over their heads, but a pathway to long-term stability and independence. We work with each participant on an individual basis and case by case, understanding their unique needs, challenges, and goals.
Participants who graduate from our transitional housing program are guided into affordable homeownership opportunities through properties acquired from the Michigan Land Bank. We purchase abandoned properties in struggling neighborhoods, restore them, and then help our participants buy these homes at prices they can truly afford.
This approach does more than house individuals—it revives entire communities, turning abandoned neighborhoods into thriving, vibrant areas filled with families, stability, and hope.

At Operation Liberty 43, we believe lasting change happens through collaboration. We work side by side with community leaders, local government, faith-based organizations, nonprofits, and businesses to maximize impact.
